We're fast-growing and venture-backed, building in the open and moving fast, without losing the rigor of the legal profession we're modernizing.</p> <h2><strong>The Role</strong></h2> <p>General Legal is hiring an Account Executive to own the full sales cycle, from qualified opportunity through closed deal, as we bring cost-effective, integrated, high-velocity legal services to fast-growing companies.</p> <h2><strong>What You'll Do</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Manage a full-cycle sales process: discovery, demo, proposal, negotiation, and close</li> <li>Build and manage a pipeline in partnership with SDRs and marketing, and generate a portion of your own pipeline through outbound and network selling</li> <li>Develop a deep understanding of prospects' legal and business needs to position General Legal effectively</li> <li>Partner closely with legal operations and delivery teams to ensure a smooth handoff and strong onboarding experience for new clients</li> <li>Maintain accurate forecasting and pipeline hygiene in the CRM</li> <li>Represent client and market feedback back to product and marketing teams</li> </ul> <h2><strong>What You'll Bring</strong></h2> <ul> <li>3+ years of closing experience in a full-cycle Account Executive role, ideally in SaaS or services</li> <li>Track record of consistently meeting or exceeding quota</li> <li>Comfortable selling to founders, operators, and legal/finance stakeholders at growing companies</li> <li>Strong consultative, discovery-driven selling skills. Our sales cycles can close in weeks when discovery is done well</li> <li>Startup sales experience (SaaS strongly preferred). We care more about strong SaaS-style sales instincts than a legal or professional-services sales background</li> <li>High drive and energy, with the raw intelligence to think fast on their feet</li> <li>High emotional intelligence: a strong listener who's skilled at discovery and can reflect client needs back collaboratively</li> </ul> <h2><strong>Bonus Points</strong></h2> <p>These aren't required, but they tend to line up with success in this role.</p> <ul> <li>Experience at a Series A–C startup</li> <li>Existing network among startup founders, operators, or in-house legal/finance leaders</li> <li>Legal practice experience or background</li> </ul> <h2><strong>Compensation & Benefits</strong></h2> <p>On-target earnings (OTE): $250,000–$300,000 (with an uncapped commission structure)</p> <p>Equity: meaningful early-employee equity grant</p> <ul> <li>Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage</li> <li>401(k) plan</li> <li>Flexible PTO and paid company holidays</li> <li>Latest equipment and stipend for home office setup</li> </ul> <p> </p>
