OverviewPulse is tackling one of the most persistent challenges in data infrastructure: extracting accurate, structured information from complex documents at scale. We have a breakthrough approach to document understanding that combines intelligent schema mapping with fine-tuned extraction models where legacy OCR and other parsing tools consistently fail. We are a small, fast-growing team of engineers in San Francisco powering Fortune 100 enterprises, YC startups, public investment firms, and growth-stage companies. We are backed by tier 1 investors and growing quickly. What we are looking for5 days in-office at our San Francisco officeEager to learn and adapt quicklyPrior startup or founding experience is a plus About the RoleAs Pulse’s first dedicated Growth and Marketing hire, you will own how Pulse explains its work to the world. At its core this is a technical writing and communication role: turning what our engineering team builds into clear, precise content for technical audiences across blog posts, social media, product launches, sales materials, and events. This role is ideal for someone who writes exceptionally well, is curious about how document AI systems work, and wants to build a marketing function from the ground up alongside the founders. ResponsibilitiesWrite and edit technical content: deep-dive blog posts on how our models and pipeline work, benchmark releases, release notes, and customer storiesRun Pulse’s LinkedIn and X presence in a consistent company voice and grow an audience of technical practitionersOwn core messaging and positioning across our priority industries and keep it current as the product evolvesRun product launches end to end, from understanding what shipped to the blog post, landing page, social, and email that announce itTurn engineering work, evaluations, and customer results into materials the sales team uses: one-pagers, solution briefs, and evaluation guidesPlan and execute Pulse’s presence at industry conferences, executive dinners, and roundtablesWork in HubSpot and Webflow, and report on inbound interest, content engagement, and share of voice Requirements0-4 years in technical writing, content, developer relations, or marketing at a startup or agency; new grads with strong writing and a portfolio of published work are encouraged to applyExceptional written communication for technical audiences, with the ability to explain how a system works clearly and without hypeEnough technical fluency to interview engineers, read a benchmark table, and hold your own in conversations with engineering and data teamsExperience writing for social media, or a clear point of view on what works on LinkedIn and X for a technical audienceBias to ship: a blog post or landing page in hours, not weeks Nice to haveExperience writing about developer tools, data infrastructure, or AI productsHas grown an audience online through writingTechnical background (computer science, engineering, math, or a quantitative field)Experience running a launch, content program, or event end to end Compensation and benefitsCompetitive base salary plus equity, relocation assistance for Bay Area moves, daily meal stipend, medical, vision, and dental coverage.
