Generalist Hardware/Firmware

Steinmetz is always looking for very talented engineers who span the stack from the silicon layer to the aluminum layer. If you work across silicon, electrical, software, firmware, mechanical, mechatronics, RF, or materials, there is likely a role for you here. Responsibilities: Move between disciplines instead of throwing work over the wall. Prototype, instrument, debug, and document hard technical systems. Close loops across design, firmware, validation, and manufacturing. Own ambiguous problems until there is a working answer. Must-haves: Evidence of building difficult systems across more than one engineering layer. Ability to learn unfamiliar technical areas fast. Strong debugging instincts around physical systems. Resilience and direct ownership.
