You'll own the contract process from redline to signature, helping us move quickly while protecting the company and ensuring we meet our compliance commitments.This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working directly with customers, solving complex legal problems, and building processes from the ground up. You'll be responsible for negotiating commercial agreements, advising on privacy and compliance requirements, creating contract templates, and helping us streamline legal workflows as we continue to grow.We're looking for someone who can operate independently, communicate clearly, and thrive in a fast-paced startup environment where priorities can change quickly and no two days look exactly the same.If you enjoy balancing legal risk with business velocity, working directly with customer legal teams, and helping a company scale from tens of millions to hundreds of millions in revenue, we'd love to hear from you.WHAT YOU'LL DO:Redline and negotiate customer agreements including BAAs, DPAs, NDAs, MSAs, and SOWsReview and respond to customer-requested contract modifications with speed and precisionDraft and maintain reusable templates for Reseller agreements, Partner agreements, and other commercial contractsAdvise on data privacy terms and obligations under GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs)Collaborate with our Compliance Officer to ensure contract language aligns with our SOC 2, ISO 27001, and other compliance commitmentsSupport deal velocity by turning around redlines quickly and joining calls with customer legal teams when neededREQUIREMENTS:3+ years of experience in commercial contracts, SaaS agreements, or tech transactions (in-house or law firm)Strong working knowledge of data privacy frameworks including GDPR, SCCs, and CCPA/CPRAHands-on experience redlining BAAs, DPAs, NDAs, MSAs, and SOWs at volumeFamiliarity with compliance concepts (SOC 2, ISO 27001) as they relate to contract termsProven ability to draft new agreement templates from scratchExcellent written communication in English with attention to precision and clarityComfortable working independently in a fast-paced startup environmentNICE TO HAVE:Experience at a SaaS or AI companyFamiliarity with HIPAA and healthcare data requirementsExperience supporting channel/reseller partnership agreementsUnderstanding of voice/telephony or real-time AI productsExperience using AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT) to accelerate legal workflowsJOB DETAILS:Long-term, ongoing role (not a short-term project)Must be available during US Pacific Time business hours (9 AM - 6 PM PT)Mix of async contract work and scheduled calls with customer legal teams$35-$40/hr (1099)
