About Claim HealthClaim Health is the AI Revenue Platform for Post-Acute Care. Post-acute care is one of the largest and fastest-growing sectors in healthcare, yet the operational infrastructure powering it is fragmented, manual, and reactive. Providers operate across disconnected systems, human-heavy workflows, and high-stakes operational processes that directly impact patient access and financial performance.Claim Health is building the adaptive operational layer for post-acute care - a platform that unifies data, automates execution, and enables intelligent coordination across revenue-critical workflows. We work directly inside some of the most operationally complex healthcare organizations in the country, helping them modernize the systems that power care delivery. The RoleWe’re looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer to operate at the intersection of engineering, product, and customer operations. This is not traditional solutions engineering or implementation consulting. You’ll work directly with customers to understand how real operational systems break, then build production-grade software that solves those problems at the root. Half of your job is deeply technical execution across the stack. The other half is embedding with customers, translating operational complexity into scalable product systems. You will shape both:How Claim Health’s platform evolvesHow entire product lines are defined and brought to marketForward Deployed Engineers at Claim Health are builders first. You will write production code, own deployments, design workflows, and create new abstractions that become core parts of the platform. You’ll spend time inside real healthcare operations (intake teams, billing workflows, authorization queues, reconciliation processes) then turn that operational reality into software. This role is ideal for someone who wants maximum ownership, customer proximity, and the opportunity to define entirely new categories of workflow automation. What your day will look like Build Production SystemsShip full-stack product capabilities directly into productionBuild workflow orchestration systems, internal tooling, and customer-facing interfacesDesign resilient systems that coordinate complex operational processesWork across frontend, backend, infra, integrations, and AI systemsEmbed Directly with CustomersWork closely with operators, billing teams, executives, and frontline staffObserve operational workflows firsthand and identify systemic bottlenecksLead implementations and deployments within large healthcare organizationsTranslate ambiguous customer pain points into scalable product primitivesShape Product DirectionDefine entirely new product lines from customer insight and operational patternsCreate abstractions that generalize across fragmented healthcare systemsInfluence roadmap prioritization through direct field exposurePartner with engineering and GTM to rapidly iterate on high-leverage workflowsOwn Outcomes End-to-EndDiagnose failures in messy real-world environmentsBuild automation that removes operational burden at scaleEnsure systems are observable, reliable, and correct under real constraintsOperate with urgency while maintaining high engineering standardsHow Claim Health Engineering WorksWe believe the best engineers are deeply connected to the problems they solve. At Claim Health:Engineers talk directly to customersProduct direction emerges from operational realityWe optimize for speed, ownership, and leverageWe care deeply about correctness and reliabilityWe build systems, not demosWe prioritize durable abstractions over temporary fixesThere is no strict separation between engineering, product, implementation, or strategy. The people building the platform are the same people defining how it evolves. What We’re Looking ForWe care more about slope, ownership, and systems thinking than specific technologies. You likely have:Strong full-stack engineering fundamentalsComfort operating across frontend, backend, infrastructure, and data systemsExperience working directly with customers or operational stakeholdersThe ability to move fluidly between technical depth and business contextYou thrive if you:Enjoy ambiguous, high-ownership environmentsLike understanding how real organizations operateCan deconstruct operational chaos into software systemsCare deeply about reliability, edge cases, and product qualityPrefer solving root problems over patching symptomsWant to shape products, not just execute ticketsAre energized by customer interaction rather than isolated implementation workBonus (Not Required)Experience with workflow orchestration systemsBackground in AI agents, automation, or integration platformsExperience deploying AI-powered systems in productionExposure to healthcare, fintech, logistics, or other operationally complex industriesExperience working in highly customer-embedded engineering rolesWhy Join Claim HealthBuild the Operating Layer for a Massive IndustryHealthcare operations are still largely manual. We’re building the infrastructure layer that modernizes how post-acute care organizations operate.High OwnershipYou will directly influence product direction, architecture, and company trajectory from an early stage.Real Problems, Real StakesThe systems we build affect revenue cycles, operational efficiency, and ultimately patient access to care.Tight Feedback LoopsYou’ll work directly with end users and see the impact of your work immediately.Elite Team, Low EgoWe value intellectual honesty, speed, craftsmanship, and people who care deeply about building.Fast Pace, High LeverageSmall team. Extremely high ownership. Very little bureaucracy.FunWe take the work seriously, not ourselves. One of the most important things we screen for is whether we genuinely enjoy working with you.
