GTM EngineerLocation: San Francisco, CA Type: Full-time, on-siteCOMPANY OVERVIEWAgentMail is building the communication and identity layer for AI agents.Agents are starting to do real work, but they still lack basic infrastructure humans already have: persistent identity, reliable communication, permissions, memory, and a system of record. AgentMail gives every AI agent its own programmable inbox.Developers use our API to create inboxes, send and receive email, manage threads, parse messages into structured data, route webhooks, attach domains, and build agents that can communicate across the internet. We're backed by Y Combinator and have raised $6M led by General Catalyst, with support from the founders of Ramp, Supabase, and HubSpot, as well as Paul Graham. We're early, moving fast, and building in a category without a playbook. If you want to help define core infrastructure for the agent era, we'd love to meet you.TLDRWe're hiring a GTM Engineer to build the machine behind AgentMail's growth: the data pipeline, the outbound engine, and the source of truth the whole company runs on. This is a build-and-own role, not a support role.WHAT YOU'LL DOOwn the growth data layer end to end: instrument the funnel, enrich every signup, and build the dashboards the company treats as the source of truthTurn our best customers into ten more: lookalike modeling, automated outbound, LinkedIn plays, and surfacing champions and buyers inside companies already using usRun experiments across the PLG engine (content, integrations, backlinks, paid) and double down on what moves signupsConnect the stack through APIs, webhooks, and automation so data moves cleanly between PostHog, our CRM, enrichment providers, and outbound toolingDecide what tools we use and what gets kicked to the curb. You own the stackBuild AI-powered internal toolsShip systems from prototype through rollout and adoption, then hold your ground. You built it, the team follows itWHAT WE'RE LOOKING FORA technical foundation: CS, data science, or equivalent. You write real scripts in Python/TypeScript/SQL, wire APIs together, and are dangerous with Claude Code or CodexYou've seen a great growth motion up close, or you've been obsessively reverse-engineering how the best PLG companies growHigh agency in ambiguity: you call out what's broken, come with an opinion, and fix things without being askedLow ego, high buy-inOrganized enough that the systems you build don't rot. Clean data is a discipline, not a featureYou want to help invent a market, not just run someone else's processBONUS POINTSHands-on experience with tools like Clay, n8n, enrichment waterfalls, or sending infrastructurePostHog fluency (we live in it)You've shipped agentic workflows or internal AI tooling beforeYou've worked at or studied a technical PLG company up close
