You'll also help build the institutional infrastructure that makes everyone around you sharper: reviewing and improving our BAA and healthcare contract templates, developing precedent libraries, and training attorneys who run into healthcare questions in the course of their broader work.</p> <p>If you're the kind of lawyer who genuinely loves the craft of healthcare law, keeps up with every regulatory development, and finds real satisfaction in being the go-to resource for a growing group of health tech companies, this was built for you.</p> <p><strong>What You'll Do:</strong></p> <p><strong>Client Work</strong></p> <ul> <li>Sit directly with our health tech clients as a trusted advisor across HIPAA, compliance, and other healthcare regulatory questions, providing guidance that reflects current law, real-world practice, and seasoned judgment</li> <li>Review and negotiate BAAs and other healthcare-specific contracts, including vendor, data-sharing, and health data agreements</li> <li>Serve as a trusted subject matter resource for both clients and internal attorneys on healthcare and health tech questions</li> </ul> <p><strong>Knowledge Development</strong></p> <ul> <li>Review, revise, and improve our BAA and healthcare contract templates and standard documents</li> <li>Build a healthcare and health tech precedent library that reflects current best practices, and integrate it into the product</li> <li>Develop training materials and lead sessions for other attorneys who encounter healthcare questions in the course of their broader work</li> <li>Contribute to internal knowledge databases with practical, usable healthcare guidance — not just legal citations</li> </ul> <p><strong>What We're Looking For</strong></p> <p><strong>Background & Experience</strong></p> <ul> <li>J.D. from an accredited law school; active bar membership in good standing</li> <li>8+ years of deep, focused experience in healthcare regulatory and health tech transactional work — ideally with a track record that includes top-tier firm work, a leading in-house health tech role, or a regulatory agency background</li> <li>Hands-on experience drafting and negotiating BAAs and other healthcare-specific contracts</li> <li>Encyclopedic knowledge of HIPAA, FDA, and digital health regulatory frameworks, and the kind of current awareness that comes from genuinely caring about the space</li> <li>Real enthusiasm for teaching and knowledge-sharing — you're not protective of what you know, you want to multiply it</li> <li>Comfortable working with attorneys across experience levels, from first-year associates to senior partners</li> <li>Clear, confident communicator who can translate regulatory complexity into practical guidance for health tech founders and teams</li> </ul> <p><strong>How You Work</strong></p> <ul> <li>You are fast <em>and</em> good</li> <li>You know how to draft and revise a BAA in your sleep</li> <li>You live and breathe health regulatory frameworks  </li> <li>You use AI tools in your practice today, not theoretically</li> <li>You produce clean, sophisticated work product</li> <li>You communicate directly: clear recommendations, appropriate caveats, no filler</li> </ul> <p><strong>Why This Role</strong></p> <p>The best healthcare attorneys often find themselves doing work that underutilizes what they actually know, buried in generalist matters, isolated in a narrow advisory function, or constantly starting from scratch because there's no institutional memory to build on.</p> <p>This role is different.
