Nox Metals is the supply chain behind it.Nox Metals is a technology company in Detroit supplying aluminum plate, bar, and rounds to aerospace and defense manufacturers. We use software and automation to supply metal to American factories faster than the industry thought possible.We need a Material Handler on day shift who puts safety first, every shift, no exceptions. This is a role for someone who takes OSHA standards seriously, runs a forklift with precision, and wants to grow into bandsaw and metals operations over time.Shift hours: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.You will:Follow all OSHA and site safety protocols without exception, and hold your teammates to the same standardOperate a forklift to receive, stage, and move aluminum plate, bar, and rounds throughout the facilityLoad and unload trucks safely and efficientlyReceive inbound material and verify against purchase ordersPackage, label, and stage outbound shipmentsKeep the floor clean, organized, and free of hazardsRecord material movements accurately in our software systemsAlways ask questions, never guess when something is unclearComplete required safety training and certifications as assignedLearn baseline operations of the bandsaw and other metals equipment as you grow in the roleYou are:Safety-obsessed. You wear your PPE, follow every protocol, and never cut corners that put people or product at riskTrained in OSHA standards, or ready and eager to complete trainingExperienced operating a forklift, or a fast learner ready to get certifiedHigh attention to detail, every load, every label, every shipmentCoachable and curious, you want to learn the bandsaw and broader floor operationsA team player with a good attitude, you make the shift better for everyone around youSomeone who takes ownership, if it is your shift, it is your responsibilityReliable and steady under pressure, day shift sets the pace for the whole operationComfortable with software, or willing to learn, we track everything digitallyOrganized and dependableLow ego, you do the unglamorous work because it needs to get doneAble to lift up to 50 lbs and operate heavy equipment on your feet for a full shiftNever says "that's not my job"Nice to have:Prior experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial environmentForklift and/or overhead crane certification already in handExperience with bandsaws, industrial saws, or metals handlingComfortable using AI tools to work faster and smarterThis role is full time, in person in Detroit.
