Senior Marketing Manager

About Us Suger is a YC-backed, Series A B2B SaaS company helping software vendors scale revenue through cloud marketplaces like AWS, Azure, and GCP. We power the entire cloud GTM motion — listing, co-selling, transaction, and revenue operations — for fast-growing software companies. We're headquartered in San Francisco with a growing engineering hub in Vancouver, and we're preparing for our next stage of growth. Today, we’re working 300+ amazing customers, ranging from top AI companies like the LLM labs, Decagon, Glean, to large enterprises like Snowflake, Workday, and Intel. We're looking for our first Senior Marketing Manager to build and scale Suger's organic growth engine. This is a foundational marketing hire and a newly created role with the opportunity to make a significant impact from day one. You'll sit at the intersection of Product, Sales, and Customer Success - translating a technical, fast-evolving product into messaging that resonates with revenue leaders, cloud alliance teams, and RevOps buyers. This isn't a role where you'll inherit a mature marketing machine. You'll help build it. If you're energized by creating content, experimenting with new growth channels, and owning marketing initiatives from idea to execution, we'd love to meet you. We work on a hybrid model, with 4 days per week in our new Vancouver office at 321 Water St.What You'll Do Own marketing strategy and brand: Define Suger's marketing strategy, messaging, positioning, and brand voice to build awareness and differentiate us in the market. Build demand generation: Own inbound growth across SEO/AEO/GEO, content, community, email, and other organic channels. Run experiments, measure results, and double down on what works. Create content and campaigns: Develop compelling content and campaigns that educate our market, generate demand, and support Sales. Own field and event marketing: Identify the events and communities where our buyers spend time and plan and execute high-impact activations. Build partner marketing: Develop co-marketing programs with cloud marketplace partners including AWS, GCP, Azure, and Snowflake. Build the marketing foundation: Establish attribution, UTM tracking, HubSpot processes, reporting, and other systems needed to measure and scale marketing. Partner across the business: Work closely with Sales and Product on ICP, messaging, positioning, and GTM priorities. Turn wins into systems: Build repeatable programs and processes that can scale as Suger grows. What We're Looking For 5+ years of B2B marketing experience, ideally with meaningful experience at an early-stage, high-growth startup. A track record of building marketing programs from scratch without a large team, budget, or established playbook. Strong experience in organic marketing, with a demonstrated ability to grow inbound traffic and generate pipeline. Excellent writing, storytelling, and creative instincts. Highly data-driven and comfortable using funnel and campaign metrics to make decisions. Comfortable with HubSpot, marketing analytics, attribution, and AI/automation tools such as Claude Code and n8n. Hands-on and highly execution-oriented. You enjoy figuring things out and doing the work yourself. Strong cross-functional collaborator who can work closely with Sales, Product, and external partners. Cloud marketplace, SaaS, or ecosystem-led growth experience is a strong plus. High ownership, strong judgment, and a bias toward action. Why Join Suger? Be one of our first marketing hires: Own and build a major pillar of Suger's go-to-market strategy from the ground up, with the autonomy to shape the strategy, programs, and team as we scale. Work with an exceptional team: Join a driven team of ~70 people with experience at companies like Google, Meta, Salesforce, Pave, Motive, and Square. Build at an inflection point: Suger has strong product-market fit, 300+ customers, and a proven sales motion. Now you’ll have the opportunity to build the marketing engine that takes us to the next level. Move fast and own your work: We’re a well-funded, fast-moving company with a flat organizational structure and a strong bias toward action. We value autonomy, good judgment, and getting things done over hierarchy and process. Competitive compensation: $130K–$180K/year base salary, plus meaningful equity, comprehensive health benefits, and monthly office stipends.
